Park Center Sophomores present their IBMYP Personal Projects

The International Baccalaureate Middle Years Programme Personal Project is a right of passage for grade 10 students at Park Center Senior High.  This significant body of work is produced over several months and ties together skills that have been developed from sixth through tenth grades.  Students create a project which can be anything they are interested in or passionate about.  Projects range from composing a song, writing poetry, photography, baking, cooking, sports - the list is endless.  While creating the project, students write a report describing their process as well as reflecting on the skills they learned.

Sophomores at Park Center Senior were up to the task and presented very thorough and well thought out projects.  Many chose to present a project that had close ties to them - creating a cook book of family recipes, video story of the Hmong, remodeling of a 1920s home, cultural difference of east and west Africa, today‚Äôs fashion, dream trip to Seattle, beat boxing, astronomy and many, many more.
